The concept for this lighting box was to combine the natural aspect of controlled surface rusting with modern energy-saving technology in a very bright light fixture. All lighting box in the Rusty line are composed of corten steel and are exceptionally weather-resistant. In outdoor applications, the unique steel alloy creates a layer of iron oxide (rust), which protects the material core from dampness and oxidation, thus stopping the process. Individual variations in form and surface are sought with the Rusty lamps.
